# GET Get Message

> Retrieve a single message by its ID.

## Get Message

`GET /api/conversations/:conversationId/messages`

Retrieve details of a specific message within a conversation.

### Authorization

| `id` | integer | Unique message ID |
| `conversationId` | integer | Parent conversation ID |
| `type` | string | Message type (text, image, document, etc.) |
| `content` | object | Message content (varies by type) |
| `direction` | string | `inbound` or `outbound` |
| `status` | string | Delivery status |
| `senderId` | integer\|null | User ID of the sender (for outbound) |
| `senderName` | string | Name of the sender |
| `senderPhone` | string\|null | Phone of the sender (for inbound) |
| `contactPhone` | string | Contact phone number |
| `whatsappMessageId` | string\|null | WhatsApp message ID |
