# Authentication

> Manage your Zeplo CLI authentication credentials

Authenticate with Zeplo to enable CLI commands that interact with your account, channels, and contacts.

## zeplo auth login

Log in to your Zeplo account. By default, this launches an interactive prompt that guides you through authentication. You can also authenticate non-interactively using the `--email` or `--api-key` flags.

zeplo auth login [flags]
```

### Options

| Flag | Description |
| - | - |
| `--email <email>` | Authenticate using an email address. Prompts for a password or opens a browser-based login flow. |
| `--api-key <key>` | Authenticate using a Zeplo API key. Useful for CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts. |

### Examples

```bash theme={null}
# Interactive login — opens a browser or prompts for credentials
zeplo auth login

# Login with a specific email address
zeplo auth login --email user@example.com

# Login with an API key (non-interactive)
zeplo auth login --api-key zp_live_abc123def456
```

## zeplo auth logout

Clear all stored authentication credentials from your local machine. After logging out, any CLI command that requires authentication will fail until you run `zeplo auth login` again.

zeplo auth logout

### Examples

# Clear stored credentials
zeplo auth logout
```

## zeplo auth status

Display the current authentication state. Shows whether you are logged in, which account is active, and when the current session expires.

```bash theme={null}
zeplo auth status
```

### Examples

```bash theme={null}
# Check current auth status
zeplo auth status

# Example output:
# Authenticated as user@example.com
# Account: ACME Corp (acct_8x9k2m)
# Session expires: 2026-06-01T00:00:00Z
```
