# Config

> View and manage Zeplo CLI configuration values

Manage your Zeplo CLI configuration. These commands let you inspect all config values, retrieve a specific key, or set a key to a new value. Configuration is stored locally in your project or user directory.

## zeplo config list

List all configuration values currently set for the Zeplo CLI. Displays each key-value pair along with the source of the value (project config, user config, or environment variable).

```bash theme={null}
zeplo config list
```

### Options

| Flag | Description |
| - | - |
| `--json` | Output all config values as a JSON object. |
| `--source <source>` | Filter values by their source. Accepts `project`, `user`, or `env`. |

### Examples

```bash theme={null}
# List all configuration values
zeplo config list
# List config values as JSON
zeplo config list --json
# Show only project-level configuration
zeplo config list --source project
```

## zeplo config get

Retrieve the value of a specific configuration key. Prints the raw value to standard output, making it easy to use in scripts and pipelines.

```bash theme={null}
zeplo config get <key>
```

### Arguments

| Argument | Description |
| - | - |
| `<key>` | The configuration key to retrieve. Use dot notation for nested keys (e.g., `database.host`). |

### Examples

```bash theme={null}
# Get the current region setting
zeplo config get region
# Get a nested database config value
zeplo config get database.host
# Use in a shell script
export DB_HOST=$(zeplo config get database.host)
```

## zeplo config set

Set a configuration key to a given value. The value is persisted to the appropriate config file (project-level by default). Use the `--global` flag to write to the user-level config instead.

```bash theme={null}
zeplo config set <key> <value>
```

### Arguments

| Argument | Description |
| - | - |
| `<key>` | The configuration key to set. Use dot notation for nested keys (e.g., `database.host`). |
| `<value>` | The value to assign to the key. |

### Options

| Flag | Description |
| - | - |
| `--global` | Write the value to the user-level config instead of the project-level config. |
| `--unset` | Remove the specified key from the configuration. |

### Examples

```bash theme={null}
# Set the default region
zeplo config set region us-east-1
# Set a nested database host
zeplo config set database.host localhost
# Set a global (user-level) config value
zeplo config set --global defaultOutput json
# Remove a config key
zeplo config set --unset region
```
